Q: Are there disadvantages or side effects to using lubricants?
A: Some people are sensitive to certain lubricants, so you need to find one that works for you. Generally, I always check the ingredients and pick one that seems to have fewer ingredients/chemicals. There are water based lubricants and silicone based ones that can be used with condoms. Anything oil based will break down the condom. Some people who use lubricants and not condoms try more natural substances like coconut oil or even olive oil (again, never use with condoms). Every vagina will react differently, so it’s important to know which one works for you. Lubricants are considered a sexual enhancer. They allow easier gliding with penetration. Some even produce a tingling or hot (as in heat) sensation, depending on the kind you buy. Never pair a silicone-based lube with a silicone sex toy – make sure that the lubricant you are using is compatible with whatever kind of play you want to get up to.
Dating as a single parent
Q: What do you think of relationships after divorce when kids are in the picture?
A: I don’t think there is anything wrong with you dating after a divorce. However, I wouldn’t introduce the kids until the relationship is more serious. Kids get attached to people and if you introduce them to many different partners, it may be confusing to them and it can sadden them when the relationship ends. Also make sure that whomever you date understands that your kids are a priority and that you come as a package deal. In other words, they need to understand that you have obligations that may have an impact on how often you see your partner for example.

Q: Can you please explain “tea bagging” to me?
A: The name comes from the action of dropping a tea bag in a cup, but instead, the tea bag is your scrotum/testicles/balls and the cup is someone’s mouth. It is the act of having your testicles in someone’s mouth.
